“Before the Black Throne” is the sixth and final Mythos Pack in the Circle Undone cycle for Arkham Horror: The Card Game. After your struggle to seal the tears in reality in “In the Clutches of Chaos,” you have left your city and your world behind. You have traveled a great distance, but you are still far from the nighted throne where your ultimate enemy stirs. As you are pursued by your destiny across the cosmos, you may be forced to use “empty space” in the game, losing the top card of your deck as you place it facedown to represent the seemingly endless space that separates you from the rest of humanity. “Empty space” is not a location and cannot be entered or investigated. The only way to retrieve your lost card is to fill the “empty space” with a Cosmos location. These impossible places, drawn from the new Cosmos deck, do not have fixed connections. Instead, each Cosmos card has a connection instruction that you must follow in order to place it. It may be tempting to give in to the fear of the unknown, but even if all you can do is delay the inevitable, the battle is not over yet!
